Vector Insert Word from GPR

vinsertw vD, RB, UIM

Inserts word from GPR into Vector.

Details

Inserts a 32-bit value extracted from GPR RB into the word element of vD specified by the 2-bit unsigned immediate index UIM. The word from RB[32:63] is placed into the indexed word of vD; other words remain unchanged. This instruction is part of VMX and does not update condition flags.

Pseudocode Operation

word_index ← UIM & 0x3
vD[word_index * 32 : word_index * 32 + 31] ← RB[32:63]
