Vector Insert Doubleword from GPR

vinsertd vD, RB, UIM

Inserts doubleword from GPR into Vector.

Details

Inserts a 64-bit value from GPR RB into the doubleword element of vD specified by the 1-bit unsigned immediate index UIM. The entire 64-bit value of RB is placed into the indexed doubleword of vD; the other doubleword remains unchanged. This instruction is part of VMX and does not update condition flags.

Pseudocode Operation

dword_index ← UIM & 0x1
vD[dword_index * 64 : dword_index * 64 + 63] ← RB[0:63]
