The applypriority.async.bulk.tensor instruction applies the cache eviction priority to the tensor.

Encoding

PTX is a virtual instruction set. It has no single, stable native binary encoding - the compiler lowers this instruction to different native machine code depending on the selected NVIDIA target architecture (compute capability). This page intentionally shows no bit-diagram; see the target/version requirements below for what governs how this instruction compiles.

Syntax Forms

One mnemonic covers many type / state-space / scope / modifier combinations - each row below is an independently valid form.

Syntax Data Types State Space(s) Modifiers Min. Target Description

Qualifier .level::eviction_priority specifies the priority and the cache level. (see the official PTX ISA docs for the full description)

Description

The applypriority.async.bulk.tensor instruction applies the cache eviction priority to the tensor. Qualifier .level::eviction_priority specifies the priority and the cache level. If no state space is specified then Generic Addressing is used. If the specified address does not fall within the address window of .global state space then the behavior is undefined. Various tensor attributes such as the base address and size of the tensor are specified in the Tensor-map. The optional qualifiers .override::global_address and .override_attribute supports value override functionality for various tensor properties present in the tensorMap object. (see the official PTX ISA docs for the full description)

Examples

applypriority.async.bulk.tensor.1d.global.bulk_group.L2::evict_normal [tensorDesc,{u}];
applypriority.async.bulk.tensor.2d.global.bulk_group.tile.L2::evict_normal [tensorDesc, {u, v}];

Reproduced from NVIDIA's official PTX ISA documentation for technical accuracy.
