ds_cmpstore_rtn_f64

Compare a double-precision float value in the data comparison register with a location in a data share, and modify the memory location with a value…

Also written as ds_cmpst_rtn_f64. AMD's machine-readable ISA specification lists this name for the same instruction.

The ENC_DS layout from AMD's machine-readable ISA specification (AMD RDNA 3.5). Opcode 113 in OP rebuilds 0x00000000D9C40000, an identifier AMD lists for this encoding. Bits marked unassigned have no field in the specification. The same in AMD RDNA 3.

Operands

  • VDST
Written. Operand must be a vector GPR. Uses an 8-bit operand field. Data format: 64-bit double-precision floating point value. (OPR_VGPR, FMT_NUM_F64)
  • ADDR
Read. Operand must be a vector GPR. Uses an 8-bit operand field. Data format: 32 bits of arbitrary data. (OPR_VGPR, FMT_NUM_B32)
  • DATA0
Read. Operand must be a vector GPR. Uses an 8-bit operand field. Data format: 64-bit double-precision floating point value. (OPR_VGPR, FMT_NUM_F64)
  • DATA1
Read. Operand must be a vector GPR. Uses an 8-bit operand field. Data format: 64-bit double-precision floating point value. (OPR_VGPR, FMT_NUM_F64)

In AMD's order, as its machine-readable ISA specification lists them for the ENC_DS encoding (AMD RDNA 3.5).

Description

Compare a double-precision float value in the data comparison register with a location in a data share, and modify the memory location with a value in the data source register if the comparison is equal.

Example

ds_cmpstore_rtn_f64 v[5:6], v1, v[2:3], v[3:4]

A real instruction accepted by the LLVM assembler, taken verbatim from LLVM's own AMDGPU MC test suite. Not from an AMD document, and not authored here.
