buffer_load_ubyte GPU Native ISA AMD Vector
Buffer Memory
Load 8 bits of unsigned data from a buffer surface, zero extend to 32 bits and store the result into a vector register.
Also written as
buffer_load_u8.
AMD's machine-readable ISA specification lists this name for the same instruction.
Encoding
The ENC_MUBUF layout from AMD's machine-readable ISA specification (AMD CDNA 4). Opcode 16 in OP rebuilds 0x00000000E0400000, an identifier AMD lists for this encoding. Bits marked unassigned have no field in the specification. Not the same in every generation: AMD CDNA 2 (field layout), AMD CDNA 1 (field layout), AMD RDNA 2 (layout not verifiable), AMD RDNA 1 (layout not verifiable). The same in AMD CDNA 3.

In AMD's order, as its machine-readable ISA specification lists them for the ENC_MUBUF encoding (AMD CDNA 4).
GFX Target Compatibility
Per-target GFX compatibility has not yet been verified for this instruction.
